I’ve been thinking a lot lately about our connections. About how the connections we make shape our lives and make us who we are. We connect to our family members forming unique and unbreakable bonds. Connections with our friends are different, but no less important to us. Then there is the connection we make with nature. We are connected to nature anyway. But everyone has their own personal way of connecting to the natural world.
So I was inspired to put this kit together. It’s my second foray into kit design and I enjoyed it very much! Creating anything is a personal thing and in a way, it feels exposing to share it publicly. But I am really hoping that you will relate to my idea of connecting, and be inspired to create with these designs. Please do share your layouts with me on Instagram if you are. I would love to see how you’ve interpreted this kit.
I also have a new pack of templates in store. White Space Love is a pack based on my love of a minimalist, white space layout. Details in side bar.
I am thrilled to be taking part in this event. You can grab my free template by clicking on the image below. Then have fun scooping up all of the other wonderful FREE templates!!! The designers taking part are all so talented and creative. You will love their templates I’m sure!
This hop is brought to you by ALFLT Blog & FB Train Official Group. ‘ALFLT’ is short for A Love For Layout Templates (just in case you didn’t know) 🙂
I’ve used my template to make a couple of layouts.
For this one I used June Vibes Kit from Rachel EtrogI altered the template here. Don’t be afraid to change the template to suit your own needs and style. I used Dandelion Days Kit from Forever Joy Designs
With the Queen’s Platinum jubilee happening this weekend in the UK. I’m wondering, how are you all celebrating? I would love to know what you are doing. Even if you are not celebrating at all!
I’m not much of a Royal follower. But the queen has been on the throne for as long as I’ve been alive! So I am happy to see the bunting going up and the Union Jacks flying. We are not having a street party or a garden party. But we are going to the pub. They are marking the occasion with a party and live music. It should be fun.
People outside of the UK. What do you make of our Royal Family? Do you like them or are you not bothered? I’d be interested to know.
To mark the occasion, I did something different (for me) I made a digital scrap booking kit! I’ve called it ‘So British’ and it’s crammed with bright, patriotic colours ( the kind I usually shy away from lol)! Plus some really fun elements. So if you are planning on having photos to scrap. Maybe you could try it out? It’s free when you purchase the ‘So British’ Template. I’ve made the template to be more like a quick page really. It has papers and elements already there for you. But, of course, you can swap them out and use an entirely different kit if you prefer.
However you are spending this long weekend. I hope you have a happy, memorable, scrap-able time!
Just click on the image to go to the store:)
Look at how Claire, CT member, used the template. I love how she swapped out the papers and made it her own. She also only used one photo!
I am so chuffed to have been chosen as Featured Designer on the Simple Scrapper site for May. They have developed some sweet templates based on my designs, and they’re fab! I also did an interview for their blog. But I don’t think they’ve published it yet. Watch this space I guess!
The site was set up by Jennifer Wilson. It’s a community based site. Offering encouragement, tutorials, zoom crops, templates & sketches, memory keeping tips & ideas and loads more. Jennifer also does an amazing podcast that I am addicted to!.
I am currently taking part in the Orientation class. Which encourages you to think about why you scrapbook, identify your goals and complete assignments! I’m really enjoying it. It’s super motivating for me.
I have been given free membership for three months because I am a featured designer. It really is the most wonderfully warm and friendly site. BUT. Here’s the thing. Membership is usually 24.99 (dollars) for 1 Month – or 199.00 Annually.
So I’m pretty sure I won’t be able to afford it long term. I am gutted because I really love the interaction, encouragement and inspiration from all of the staff and members. So I’m just wondering, is anyone else a member? Would you consider joining? I cannot stress how much I would recommend this site. I just cannot afford it.
Here’s a layout I did for one of the assignments. It’s all about the love between Poppy dog and Matt’s girlfriend, Sol. I used Outdoor Adventures kit from Humble & create, and I’m pretty sure I’ll make a template out of it eventually!
Thank you for visiting and reading. My next post will be bringing you details of a Blog Hop that I am taking part in and I have a free template for you.
I hope that you are all well and looking forward to iNSD.

Look at what my talented Creative Team & Guest CT Members did with this template! And I couldn’t resist making a layout featuring Poppy Dog. Using The Practical Scrapper’s gorgeous kit from the Blog Hop.
